About the Position
The COMET Team Lead will oversee the day-to-day operations of the contracted workforce at a specific location (Division, Corps, or Corps Separate level installation) and is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and supervision of the work performed on this contract at that location. The Team Lead, ICW the Program Manager will have authority to act for the company on all matters relating to the fulfillment of customer requirements. This position requires extensive knowledge of Army Maintenance, Supply, and Deployment Discipline programs that are embedded in Army regulations and policies, concepts, and defined functional areas.

This position encompasses a defined span of control and opportunity for someone who demonstrates trust, creates a sense of urgency, and promotes the consistent achievement of quality standards. This position requires making decisions that support company guidelines authoritatively and quickly.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • High degree of specialized expertise in the management and supervision of Army logistics programs.
  • Possess experience in the analysis of command logistics programs to include shortcomings, development of corrective recommendations and presentation of findings to the senior leadership for decision.
  • Directs, develops, implements, publicizes, and administers operations strategies and objectives to ensure the achievement of organization's goals and objectives.
  • Drive, determination, and a self-disciplined approach to achieving results.
  • Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; must have experience performing staff logistics functions and briefings to senior level officers/civilians within a Division and/or Corps level command.
  • Superior managerial and diplomacy skills with the ability to exercise the necessary authority to assure policies and procedures are followed and time frames are met.
  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must show excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency with Army Logistics Information Systems.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Serves as the on-site lead for providing shared services across Solution One lines of business.
  • Leads supporting each of the major functions; develops and delivers any identified training; develops data/metrics required to manage the overall program, financial reporting, and resource coordination (recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, etc.).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the customer and the program team.
  • Provide Lead support for resourcing, staffing, supply and management, progress reporting, troubleshooting and people management.
  • Monitors performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions.
  • Accountable for the performance and results of assigned Team.
  • Establishes, implements, revises, and maintains policies and procedures related to day-to-day operations.
  • Leadership and Management of multi-function, multi-level, dispersed team of professionals, including performance, training/qualifications/certification, and discipline.
  • Delivery of exceptional quality services and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Customer liaison and interaction up to senior executive level.
  • Risk management and mitigation.
  • Continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain a positive, safe, customer-service oriented working environment.
  • Represent Solution One Industries at customer site; inform and advise SOI leadership on all matters related to personnel, financial, quality and safety performance.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Provides subordinates with opportunities to develop their expertise and skills.
  • Delegates and shares responsibility for work output.
  • Participates in the hiring and training of staff.
  • Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of internal operations staff.
  • Conducts performance evaluations consistent with company guidelines.
Education and Experience:
  • Associate degree in related field required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the management of tasks involving the sustainment and maintenance of all Army supplies and equipment.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance.

Schedule:
Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, except federal holidays or
when the government facility is closed for administrative reasons.
