Job Summary:

Chloeta is seeking two Sonographers and/or Ultrasound Technicians to provide services at a medical facility in Albuquerque, NM. This is a full-time position, requiring a minimum 12-month commitment with four one year options to extend.

Shift: 8 to 4:30 pm with 30 min for lunch and two 15 minutes breaks, one in morning one in afternoon.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform medical imaging exams including ultrasound and x-ray as needed following imaging protocols and in a timely manner.
  • Access to network D1, RPMS/EHR, PACS, MAIL, and Scheduling menu.
  • Enter images into PACS (picture archiving) and update exam data after each procedure, ensuring data is correct.
  • Maintain exam rooms, i.e. clean/ stock room after each patient and notify the appropriate staff when supplies are needed.
  • Attend mandatory training yearly including computer security, safety, privacy act/ HIPAA, CPR, Child Protection, and infection control. They may also attend job related no-cost webinars.
  • Provide documentation of liability insurance.
  • Follow the department and adhere to the policies of the center's and Medical Imaging Department's behavior standards including dress code policies.
  • Perform office duties as required by the program, including registering patients, scheduling exams, answering phones, and filing.
  • Submit weekly timesheets to the designated COR or program manager.
  • Call abnormal results to the provider as necessary.
  • Duties, responsibilities and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.


Education and Experience:

  • Required: Graduate from an accredited Radiology Educational Program (Radiology).
  • Required: Experienced Ultrasound Technician and/or Sonographer.
  • Required: Current, valid, unrestricted license in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.
  • Required: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Required: ARDMS Registration.
  • Preferred: One (1) year of general/vascular ultrasound experience.
  • Preferred: One (1) year of OB/GYN or MFM ultrasound experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to withstand physical and emotional stress.
  • Must be able to stand and move for long periods of time.
  • Able to frequently lift at least 50 lbs., reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and kneel.
  • At the time of hire, must provide a fitness for duty certificate issued by a licensed physician to perform the proposed job without significant risk to personal health or the health and safety of others.
  • At the time of hire, must provide documentation of evidence of immunizations as required by the facility's immunization policy.

Drug and Alcohol Testing:

To enforce Chloeta’s Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy, an employee or candidate could be subject to undergoing a drug screen and/or alcohol testing at the beginning of employment, as well as after commencement of employment where there is reasonable suspicion of intoxication, or following an automobile or other accident, or as part of a company or facility-wide random drug screen process.


Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA):

Under the FCRA, Chloeta may request a credit check during the onboarding process. A written authorization form will be required before obtaining credit records.


Emergency Response:

Every Chloeta employee has regular and recurring emergency management responsibilities, though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites. All positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official Duty Station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official Position Description (PD). Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.
