Overseeing activities within the information security team, planning and delivery of assigned tasks, evaluating team progress, and facilitating communication within IS and collaboration across all County agencies.
Contribute to security training and development of the team to assist with supervising the performance of the security team and its individual members.
Researching information security standards based on County business strategies and requirements.
Maintaining accurate records and executing IS cyber security audit(s) to measure policy compliance while continuing the cyber security program documentation.
Monitoring and managing security systems in conjunction with other departments and/or vendors, as appropriate.
Ensure incident identification, assessment, reporting, communication, and mitigation. Work collaboratively with other cyber security teams, vendors, and internal departments.
Contribute to implementing methods that provide consistent communication across teams or departments and being a focal point of disseminating information from team to team.
Assist with managing contracts, communication, and day to day compliance of IT services ensuring resources perform optimally as part of the larger Information Services team.
Manage technology cyber security lifecycles, capacity planning, incident/problem management.
Recommend enhancements to IS security posture and ensure adherence to IS security procedures.
Develop and assess ongoing performance metrics to realize efficiencies and improve processes for security.
Ensure work order SLAs are achieved, projects are on schedule, and customer’s needs are met.
Perform as a project lead on technology projects ensuring proper resources are utilized to support customer needs.
Maintain a proactive role understanding and evaluating emerging technologies and matching them with County needs.
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize and prioritize tasks successfully as well as operate effectively in a government agency environment.
Assist in the preparation of the operating budget for the team and make recommendations to the Program Manager for improvements or new initiatives.
Additional Duties:
Performs other related work as required.
Cyber Security related certifications, training, and experience commensurate with job role a plus.
Desired certification, CISSP or OSCP or similar credentials, CISM, CompTIA Security+, GISF
A comparable amount of education, training, or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
Ability to recognize, diagnose and correct technology systems operating problems and recommend solutions to realize efficiencies.
Must be able to learn new concepts quickly and resolve complex technical problems effectively.
All employees must attend Seminole County Required Trainings.
Department Specific trainings per position may be required.
