Are you action-oriented and do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment? Maersk is looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic Reefer Sales Executive based in the Netherlands or Belgium. This is an exciting opportunity to achieve spectacular results and build and manage relationships with existing and future customers.
The job
In this exciting role you will be responsible for teaming up with the Product Team Cold Chain Services in order to map customer needs and pain points. In other words co-developing the Cold Chain footprint for Maersk customers.
You will also engage in managing assigned customers and budgets; pursue and secure business in line with the corporate and regional objectives and develop customer value propositions for all appropriate business opportunities.
You will be striving for consultative sales to distinguish market presence by effectively probing and identifying needs and suggesting innovative solutions and building understanding of all service offerings to be able to offer additional logistics products such as Refrigerated trucking, Customs House Brokerage, X-dock, Cold store, Airfreight and Cold Chain Management.
You will own the sales process including pricing and contract negotiations and the territory to identify and establish business contacts with potential customers.
Last but not least you will make sure you’re up to date with competitive and industry trends (e.g., analyse sales statistics, prepare reports, study literature regarding new and existing services and monitor sales, prices and services of competitors) and recommend appropriate measures.

  • Empathy and ability to turn customer needs into business opportunities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (English) and exceptional planning and structuring of the workload
  • Relevant and successful experience of at least 5 years in a customer facing role in the reefer business or cold stores, reefer trucking companies or in the forwarding industry
  • The ability to be successful in in a dynamic and highly structured environment with strong competencies
  • Champion in consultative & solution selling, stakeholder management and a team player by nature
