Job description

PLS is seeking a full-time legislative reporter. Responsibilities primarily include writing reports on legislative committee meetings and hearings, press conferences, and select agency meetings; summarizing legislation; and maintaining legislative information on our main product, the Capitol Toolbox.

The ideal candidate will be a team player who is able to multitask, work independently and is familiar with the legislative process. Prior experience in the Pennsylvania state government/government relations is preferred. The ability to read state legislation and copy editing experience are a plus. Work hours vary according to the legislative schedule, but days can be long, and some evenings and legislative session days are required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $48,000.00 per year
