The key to this growth is having the best team in the industry! We are looking for an experienced Layout Technician who is looking to grow with the industry leader. The Layout Technician is responsible for the layout of projects and verifying installation while adopting and promoting the beliefs, values, and practices of Kilgore. The candidate will also be responsible to review mechanical, electrical, and plumbing shop drawings for accuracy against the contract drawings.

- Responsible for layout based on individual trade/project needs and the establishment of control points
- Responsible for communication with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and General Contractors throughout the project(s) for the purposes of scheduling layout
- Remain at the forefront of emerging industry practices.
- Conduct oneself in a professional and respectful manner around clients and coworkers.
- Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
- Continually make efforts to learn products, industry changes, and professional practices.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
- Responsible for performing a limited review of contract/shop drawings if assigned by Project Managers.
- Review contract drawings for familiarization
- To generate RFIs
- Provide insight into project flow.
- Verify future shop drawings
- Communicate variations in layout drawing vs shop drawing vs contract drawing.
- Collect as-built information if practical/necessary.
- To apprise PMs of conflicts, delays, successes, conflicts, and the status of layout projects and other items under review.
- Review individual project specifications.
- Review Shop drawings for annotation accuracy
- Review Shop drawings for fabrication consistency
- Review Shop drawings for location accuracy
