To support our technology vison, we are looking for a Head of IT - APMT to be based at our Maasvlakte II Terminal in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Purpose of the role -
The Head of IT - APMT is responsible for identifying strategic and tactical information and technology needs for the APMT Terminal in Rotterdam and managing delivery of fit for purpose technology solutions, for technology to add true business value and make a substantial contribution to meet the terminal’s and APMT’s business strategy and objectives.
Key result area’s -
  • Build and maintain a good relationship with all key business stakeholders, local and global, at director and management level. To understand the business needs and priorities and to determine how new IT/OT technology solutions can enable and drive the business objectives, with focus on automation.
  • Manage the terminal technology strategy and roadmap. Determine the longer-term business information and technology needs and drive enablement using new technology. Make optimum use of global APMT innovations, products, and solutions to ensure scalability, standardization and modernization across the APMT organization.
  • Manage on time and within budget IT project delivery, through professional project and portfolio management.
  • Manage the reduction of technical debt and simplification of the technology landscape, by driving the global APMT IT/OT standardization and rationalization agenda for Maasvlakte II, Rotterdam.
  • Manage the local IT team, ensuring constant team development, high engagement, and skills and expertise required to deliver and support the Maasvlakte II terminal IT and OT environment and enable the technology agenda.
  • Orchestrate active collaboration with the global technology platforms and competence centers, ensuring full awareness of new developments and innovations which can be of interest to the terminal.
  • Managing the operational service provision to the terminal. In line with agreed service levels and through the local IT/OT team, regional and global competence centers and delivery teams and vendors.
  • Ensure consistent application of global technology standards, policies, and solutions.
  • Manage the cyber security program and ensure full compliance with the APMT cyber security standards, both for IT and OT.
  • Contribute to the APMT IT/OT strategy and change agenda by taking active part in regional and global meetings, project initiatives and communities.
Education.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Degree in computer science or business administration.
Experience and expertise.
  • Substantial experience in general IT management covering business relationship management, financial management, technology development, Tech project delivery and operational IT service delivery.
  • Relevant experience in management and orchestration of end-to-end IT/OT for a business unit within a complex and international organization within the supply chain, transportation and/or terminal industry is a big plus.
  • Relevant experience in a highly industrialized, robotized or automation driven organization in which 24x7 high availability of core systems is of essence, is a big plus.
  • Skilled and experienced in applying global technology standards, like ITIL, BiSL, Agile and more than basic interest on Cyber Security as well as industrial automation
