Jackson Fence Company, LLC is seeking the right candidate for our Gate Shop. This position is full time and will build our gates and support other shop and fence operations as needed.

The right person will meet the following requirements:

A Day in the Life of a Gate Shop Welder Fabricator

The typcial work day will be from 8am - 5pm. Upon starting work, you will review upcoming projects to see what gates are needed. You will make sure the needed gates are built correctly and on time.

This person will also be responsible for building all of our stock gates. These include standard size chain link gates and standard sized wood frame gates. These gates will be built, stretched, and added into our inventoruy for later use.

This person will also build custom gates. Our most common custom gate would be a cantlever gate or special-sized gates.

In addition to gates, this person will provide general fab and weld services to other areas of the business. This other areas could be in the field, could be on a work truck, trailer, or racking within the shop.

You will also be asked to help in the field at times. This could be hanging gates, adjusting gates, or doing other general work as needed to keep the total operations in motion.

Every new job comes with new plans, specs, and customer-specific expectations. You will need to layout your crew to perform in an efficient and safe manner. Ensuring the safety of your crew is of the upmost importance. Leading the crew to an efficient completion of the job is your second priority. You will also be required to ensure paperwork is turned in on time. You always interact courteously and respectfully with our clients. You work efficiently and with attention to detail, leaving each customer pleased with the quality of the work and the overall experience in general. You are service-oriented and get great satisfaction out of a job well done!

Job Qualifications

• Class A driver's license required.
• Excellent communication skills - be able to provide quick and detailed updates.
• Experience with MIG, TIG, and STICK welding.
• Time management and an ability to shift gears quickly as needed and when needed.
• Amazing work ethic, physically strong and able to work a full shift in the heat or in the cold.
