SUMMARY

Alpha Testing is looking for a Lab Technician to assist with construction materials testing (CMT) and sample tracking of materials used in exciting projects from infrastructure to hi-rises around the Houston area. As a concrete lab technician, you will provide a vital step in the overall building process, ensuring that the structural materials used during construction meet all necessary quality benchmarks. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cylinder breaks
• Construction materials testing per ASTM testing methods (including, but not limited to):
  • Atterberg limits
  • 200 washes
  • Sieve analysis
• Determine unit weights (if needed)
• Ensure specimens are cured properly and for the correct amount of time
• Data entry
• Monitor equipment for calibration purposes
• Lab cleanup
