Job description

Common Heart - Union County's Food Pantry Network and provider of Economic Empowerment programs for low-income families - is looking for a Bookkeeper. This positions can be 30 hours a week or 15-20 hours a week with an assistant. Either way the position is Monday through Friday and the start time is flexible.

We use QuickBooks for our bookkeeping software andfamilarity with QuickBooks is vittal. We use integration software from our donor management software to QuickBooks and we will train on the details of our system.

If part-time you would be working with an assistant who would prep most of the paperwork to back up all transactions, if full time you would be expected to prep all the paperwork from our various departments for entry into QuickBooks.

Additionally, you would be responsible for preparing monthly reports for Executive Director and Treasurer and assisting with the annual audit. Training will be provided as needed.

The ideal candidate would also be bi-lingual (English/Spanish) and would help support the office staff in working with Spanish Speaking individuals. This role would add 10 hours a week to the schedule, bumping the full time from 30 hours to 40 hours.

• You must love detail work.
• As long as there is a familarity with QuickBooks, we will train the right person on it's use.
• You must have good computer skills and aptitude.
• Working with staff to get the information you need is also a required skill.
• Again, if you are also Bilingual (English-Spanish) this would be a great benefit. It is not imperative for the position.

We are looking to fill the position immediately.

Workplace is our main office located in Indian Trail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
