Position Summary
The Doctor of Nursing Practice – Nurse Anesthesia Program within the School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Westminster College in Salt Lake City invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the assistant professor rank to begin August 1, 2023. We seek innovative and diverse candidates with expertise in a variety of nursing curricula such as, but not limited to, advanced health assessment, health care and promotion of infants through adolescents, health care and promotion of adults, older adults, and young adults, ambulatory procedures, and graduate nursing research.
The teaching load for this position is 32 semester hours that includes fall, spring, and summer semesters. Teaching responsibilities include nurse anesthesia courses in the didactic setting and clinical student teaching/simulation. Primary Responsibilities
Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program. DNP, DNAP, or PhD required. · We seek candidates with an excellent teaching record and ability to engage with students to enhance learning. We seek candidates who can demonstrate skills, experience, and potential to facilitate the learning of all students, including those historically underrepresented in higher education such as students of color, LGBTQIA students, students with disabilities, first-generation college students, and more.
Current immunizations, negative drug screen, and background check will be required. ·
At least two years’ experience in academic and/or clinical teaching (highly recommended). ·
Membership in AANA and active CRNA certification and current unrestricted CRNA license. ·
Active participation on an Association of Nurse Anesthetists State board is highly recommended.
