Our Team provides qualified Accounting and Finance professionals on a temporary and permanent basis across a broad range of industries. Our client in the Apparel industry is seeking an Accounting Assistant who will be responsible for performing clerical and accounting duties to help support the Finance Team.
Responsibilities
- Assists accounts payable, supervisors, and management with other fiscal related tasks to ensure department objectives are met
- Use Quickbooks and consolidate data using spreadsheet
- Maintain check files, journal entry files, and assist with maintaining other filing systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must have intermediate computer skills with proficiencies in computerized accounting system, Word and Excel; non-profit accounting experience desired.
- Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principals and practices
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-task environment and meet stringent deadlines
- Great attention to detail
- Excellent prioritization and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- High School graduate, some accounting classes and/or experience in an accounting office preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with data entry in an accounting system
