Job description
As a Representative - Outside Sales mission is to develop new customer contacts and grow existing accounts. The ideal candidate should have experience with "value-added" selling. They should be able to demonstrate the ability to present the unique features and benefits of MaxCell/MaxSpace solutions to customers based on their individual needs. This position requires extensive travel within the sales territory.
Responsibilities:
- Present and sell MaxCell and MaxSpace to current and potential new clients
- Make regularly scheduled visits to each account. Identify decision makers and points of influence
- Achieve Monthly Gross Profit Dollar (GPD) and Sales quotas in given territory
- Grow and develop key accounts within the region by building and maintaining customer relationships
- Prospect potential customers, including cold calling and development of leads through referral channels
- Obtain established goals for new customers within the territory
- Attend and assist MaxCell and MaxSpace field installations
- Work closely with inside sales personnel Prepare reports, including; activity/call reports, pipeline/sales funnel, business plans, and expenses
- Prepare presentations, proposals, and sales contracts
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications:
- High School Degree or Equivalent
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
- Experience selling Outside Plant Materials with an emphasis on Fiber Optic Construction Materials is preferred
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite is required. Working knowledge of an ERP system is also required
- Prior sales experience required, outside sales preferred
- Two years of industry experience preferred
- Ability to travel to current and potential clients and suppliers.
- Ability to work flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Effective communicator both written and verbally.
- Ability to work in team environment.
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills.
- Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques (Preferred).
Travel Requirements:
- 50-75%
