POSITION: CTFC Board of Directors
SALARY: $500.00 per diem position, pro-rated on one-quarter work day
REPORTS TO: Colville Business Council
LOCATION: Nespelem, Washington
BASIC FUNCTIONS OF WORK: Financial and administrative leadership are required to ensure that the overall performance of the CTFC Board and all CTFC’s subsystems are working together to achieve the financial security and natural resource retention desired by the Colville Tribal Members.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training and Special Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Finance, Business Administration, Environmental Science, Energy, Accounting, or Marketing; AND five years of related work experience. Provide college transcripts with application and resume.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Work experience that demonstrates competency in a combination of the following areas: Financial banking, Construction 8(a), Gaming, entrepreneurship, alternative energy-hydro power, information technology, telecommunications, utilities, retail, advanced financial management and contracting in private and public sectors.
- Ability to review organizational goals and associate performance results related to quality of service & product, quantity, cost and timelines.Focus on results needs for other domains (i.e. products or services required by internal & external consumers).
- Commitment to ensure the Corporation’s desired results directly contribute to the Tribes’ desired results.
- Demonstrate effectiveness through work experience and appropriate education at the level of a Chief Financial Officer with advanced working knowledge of the full spectrum of financial operations and issues, including budget development, audits, contract administration and payroll.
- Ability to create partnerships in developing and implementing financial goals that includes working with diverse financial institutions.
- Effectiveness in working with governing boards including the Colville Business Council, Boards and Commissions.
- Related work experience in the private and public sector with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a variety of contacts, including staff, managers, clients, stockholders and customers.
- Appointment is contingent upon successful clearance of a law enforcement level security background investigation and credit history check.
- Flexibility, creativity, with strong enthusiasm and commitment to the mission of the Colville Tribes through the Enterprise Corporation.
NOTE: This position is considered a “Safety Sensitive” position. Pursuant to Tribal Policy, this position is subject to pre-employment and post-accident drug testing. Applicants for this position must clear a financial background.
