Program Mission…
This program within the Department of Veterans Affairs will provide a cross-functional team capable of developing data products for emergent enterprise requirements by leveraging the toolset available on the Summit Data Platform. This team will provide responsive support for emerging data analytics needs that originate from executive leadership and VA offices across the enterprise. These data integration and data insights will help solve emergent challenges for the Department in response to changing laws, regulations and needs for reporting to external entities, and ultimately will provide better support to the veterans.
Responsibilities…
- Gathering requirements, evaluating business processes, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
- Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
- Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
- Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
- Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
- Performing requirements analysis.
- Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts.
- Project coordination and supporting the project manager as needed.
- Ensuring execution of quality deliverables within established schedules.
- Collaborating with teams across the customer organization including executive leadership teams to improve processes, results, and customer experience.
- Ensuring the organization and processes remain aligned with customer policies and external directive.
Requirements...
- Bachelor’s degree or 8 years of experience may be substituted for in lieu of degree.
- Must have at least 6-10 years of relevant experience.
- Able to define and implement project metrics for scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
- Able to use project management tools such as MS Project, SharePoint and capacity models.
- Experience leveraging data and metrics to help drive decision making.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid interpersonal skills and demonstrable team building skills.
- Ability to interact professionally and productively with senior government officials
- Ability to maintain and obtain a government clearance.
- Ability to communicate clearly with all levels in an organization
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
Desired Skills…
- Prior experience working with VA or other federal organizations a plus.
- Experience working within Agile environment and/or using Lean concepts.
Years of Experience: 6-10 years of related experience.
Education: Bachelor's Degree or 8 years of experience.
Location: Remote within the United States.
Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
