Youth Psychosocial Group Leader to work in Leavenworth, KS

The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center for Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. • Monday & Tuesday 8:30a-5:45p, Wednesday & Thursday 8:30a-5:30p and Friday 8:30a-12:00p schedule, no weekends or on call responsibilities
• Base hourly rate of $18.00 to $23.54; based on previous relevant experience.

Primary Duties for Youth Psychosocial Group Leader:

• Provide ongoing support and follow-through for client goal attainment in the areas of these life domains: home, financial/insurance, vocational/educational, health, relationships, leisure/recreation, daily living skills, through goal-directed YPP activities
• Facilitate groups as assigned and assist with development of group program curriculum
• Provide assertive outreach directed toward engaging and maintaining client relationships. Meet with clients individually when necessary or assigned
• Transport clients to and from appointments and activities when necessary.
• Advocate for and with clients as they seek to achieve their goals and overcome barriers, and assist clients with effective problem-solving when necessary

Minimum Qualifications for Youth Psychosocial Group Leader:

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree required or be equivalently qualified by work experience or a combination of education and work experience in the human services field with one year of experience substituting for one year of education.
