Purpose:

Freedom Motors is actively looking for a highly qualified Upholsterer. We are a rapidly growing company and looking to add qualified candidates to our professional team of employees.

A successful candidate should have in-depth knowledge of modern upholstery techniques, be detail oriented and possess the ability to visualize design ideas.

Responsibilities:

• Interpreting design specifications and creating upholstery layouts
• Selecting and sourcing upholstery materials
• Dismantling seats for upholstery preparations
• Measuring and cutting vinyl or fabric
• Installing foam to seat framework
• Performing repairs and/or adjustments to existing seats
• Smoothing out imperfections
• Stitching, gluing and stapling fabric into place
• Conducting quality checks on completed orders and existing stock

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Proven work experience as an upholsterer
• Excellent design skills
• Detail- oriented
• Ability to draw and interpret design templates
• Knowledge and use of upholstery tools
• Ability to lift, pull and manipulate heavy objects
• Ability to stand, kneel and walk up to 10 hours a day.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
