Pay Range: $19.19-$26.29
JOB SUMMARY
The Tire Press Technician focuses on maintaining the tire inventory, tire exchange program, and operate tire press either in the shop or at the customer’s site. Assists service, parts, used and rental departments to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain Cromer facility including keeping it in a safe, clean, and organized condition at all times. He/she prioritize all work orders and complies with safety incident reporting. The Tire Press Technician is responsible for providing excellent customer service and for maintaining company provided assets, including all work tools and equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Tire Inventory Management.
- Tire Exchange Inventory Management.
- Pick-up/Deliver tires & parts at customer locations.
- Press and remove tires onto wheels in shop or on customer location.
- Tire press area is to be clean and organized at all times.
- Coordinate tire waste disposal and maintain Hazmat records.
- Shipping and Receiving / Parts Deliveries.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Assist with facility organization and clean up duties daily.
- Establishes consistent communication with the customer and keeps them informed of work status and any other pertinent account information.
- Leads by example in promoting a safe workplace. Follows Cromer’s core safety values and ensures basic safety standards are adhered. Follow all processes and procedures for daily, weekly and monthly tasks in support of safety and cleanliness
- Reports any safety violations or incidents to the dispatcher/supervisor immediately.
- Ability to meet daily and weekly deadlines.
- Maintains professionalism on the job.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature as required.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
- At least one (1) year of experience in similar position or working in a maintenance and industrial equipment environment preferred.
- Previous experience with tires.
- Valid Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to insurance company.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift 75lbs. repeatedly and up to 100lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to work independently and to effectively prioritize demands and execute tasks.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear and concise manner.
- Exceptional customer service skills demonstrating a helpful attitude with everyone
- Ability to follow directions and work independently
- Basic knowledge of inventory management
- Proficient PC computer skills – data entry, Excel, email
