Job Description Engineering - Technical Writer/ Technical Editor Responsibilities: This position requires the independent organization and development of engineering data products on complete projects or subsystems, including complex projects of a technical nature. The individual will be fully responsible for the organization and development of specific engineering data products. Duties include: • Work independently on complete projects or subsystems and large complex projects of a technical nature. • Prepare major complex portions of written documentation for technical manuals in a telework environment. This includes functional descriptions primarily depot-level maintenance procedures. • Analyze technical requirements for a broad range of engineering tasks of increased complexity. • Maintain engineering skills consistent with advances in technology. • Interface with engineering and manufacturing personnel as required to develop technical manuals. • Apply scientific principles, tools and techniques to achieve practical end results. Analyze complex engineering concepts of sophisticated electronic systems. Ability to author documentation and prepare simple artwork in the following authoring packages: Arbortext – MS Word – Simple and Complex Documents
