The System Department

Our System Engineers are the glue that holds the technology department together. They are the Guardians of Design Quality and the promoters of collaboration within our organization. From existing products to new product development, our system engineers are involved from A to Z and drive the design process of new charging stations, new features and problem-solving tasks. As a System Engineer within EVBox you will join the team of 4 other System Engineers and report to the System Engineering Manager.

In this role, you'll get to… take a central technical role in the development of EVBox's charging stations, ensuring their qualitative standards and their large-scale rollouts. You will clarify the technical requirements to the hardware and embedded firmware development teams and ensure the proper integration into a range of charging stations. You will further help to define technical solutions to product requirements and oversee the functional and performance testing of the charge stations.

Main Responsibilities include:

• Gathering, analyzing, verifying, and validating the stakeholder requirements together with Product Management as well as deriving the technical risks
• Defining system requirements and verification strategy based on stakeholder, regulatory and industrialization requirements and technical risks.
• Establishing and maintaining requirements traceability using requirements management software
• Ensuring coverage by reviewing the test cases and linked Hardware, Software and Mechanical requirements
• Owning the system life cycle processes together with System Engineering team and communicate the process with other teams

Next to your main responsibilities, you can support:

• Building concepts, facilitate trade-off studies, prototype when needed
• Conducting continuous design reviews
• Support validation, certification and industrialization test setups and assist problem solving
• Owning the technical part of product documentation together with System Engineering team

We're looking for people who have:

• A Bachelor's degree in technical field
• Experience with a requirements management tool
• Experience with hardware products
• Basic understanding of embedded software and architecture
• Experience with systems integration and testing
• Knowledge of M2M/IoT communication standards and protocols
• Knowledge of electronics/electrical standards

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge on data/cybersecurity is a plus
• Experience in e-mobility is a plus
