Under the general direction of the Prison Industries Manager, this position plans, organizes and supervises daily operations of a Fabric Products enterprise within a correctional institution. Plan and schedule the repair and maintenance of all equipment. Make sound and accurate decisions with regard to the daily operation of the facilities. Schedule labor, materials and parts purchases and equipment needs. Supervise and coordinate the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of all equipment. Has overall responsibility for production, quality, inventory, process control, method analysis, and cost control; material research and procurement; make recommendations to increase production efficiency and ensure that an effective quality control program is in place.
