The special education teacher, under the direction of the building principal and in concert with the special education administrator, is responsible for designing and delivering effective instruction, evaluating student performance, ensuring academic growth of students in literacy, numeracy and other assigned curriculum areas, and managing the special education process from referral to discharge ensuring State and Federal law compliance for the students assigned to their caseload.
The anticipated assignment for 2023-2024 is 1.0 FTE Grades 5 and 6 and case management.
