PDQ Staffing is currently recruiting for a Shipping Tech. This is a temp to hire position. The Shipping Technician is responsible for, quality assurance of all items being packaged, Data entry, and accuracy of orders going to correct locations, sorting orders, forklift operation, loading finished product, and material moving.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Read, understand and adhere to all existing procedures as they relate to the position of Shipping Technician. The Shipping Technician is accountable for all assigned responsibilities as outlined in procedures.
• Responsible for packaging and shipping 300-500 packages daily.
• Must be able to stand for the entire shift.
• Forklift operation will be required to move material and load the Fedex trailer at the end of shift. (will be internally certified)
• The ability to visually inspect materials for defects as it flows through the shipping department. Quality checking is a big part of this position.
• Basic computer skills.
• Cross training across both shifts, could potentially be required to work morning shift as needed.
• Accountable for meeting or exceeding the standards and expectations of the Department Manager.
• Participate in maintaining standards.
• Adhere to all Company policies and safety regulations.
• Report all problems to Department Manager.
• Keep work area clean an organized.
