Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel Kankakee is seeking qualified applicants for a Shift Millwright position. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Developing and promoting safe work practices.
- Maintaining daily records in a computerized maintenance system.
- Applying technical knowledge to improve the conditions of all mill equipment, overhead cranes, etc.
- Utilize skills toward preventive, routine, and breakdown maintenance on all equipment.
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated commitment to safety
- Excellent verbal and writen communication skills
- Knowledge of mechanical breakdown, preventative and predictive maintenance practices
- Willingness to follow through with completion of jobs and goals
- Excellent computer skills which include but not limited to Excel, PowerPoint and wrod skills.
- Ability to analyze, problem solve- and think strategically
- Outstanding abilities and proven track record in relationship building
