Job Description - Shift Lead
We search for skilled, creative individuals who strive to provide high-quality baked goods and services in an efficient, professional manner. The Shift Lead understands recipes, performs quality checks on ingredients and finished products, uses frostings, glazes, fillings, and other toppings to enhance item presentation, and process orders from customers.
As a Shift Lead, you will be in charge of the team during the closing shift, serve customers, answer questions, make sure the kitchen is stocked and clean, and perform other duties as needed.
To be a successful Shift Lead, you should be efficient, friendly, focused on food quality and customer satisfaction, be decisive, attentive, and have a strong understanding of food service.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team in following daily plans while on duty
• Work closely with management in achieving production goals
• Read and understand recipes
• Measure and combine ingredients using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make cookies
• Decorate and display the finished product
• Follow procedures to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controls
• Greet customers, answer questions, make recommendations, accept orders and payment, and provide exceptional customer service
• Clean and restock the workstation and ensure all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift
• Close store at the end of the day

Requirements

• Must be a high school graduate
• Strong communication, time and resource management, and planning skills
• Attention to detail, especially when performing quality inspections on ingredients and products
• Basic math and computer skills
• Willingness to work independently or with other team members to solve problems, plan schedules, fulfill orders, and create excellent baked goods
• Flexibility to work around store supervisory needs including evening, and some weekend and holiday availability
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Stand, walk, bend, use hands, appliances, and lift heavy items for extended periods

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
