The Curtiss-Wright Aerospace Instrumentation group provides rugged data acquisition, recording, telemetry, and ground station analysis tools to measure, record, transmit, and analyse critical parameters in flight test, space and in service vehicles. We have a broad exposure on 300+ different Aircraft and Space platforms world-wide.
Our Aerospace Instrumentation group employs over 500 full time staff at four locations TTC (Newtown PA), TCG (Tewksbury, MA), IADS (Palmdale CA), ACRA (Dublin Ireland). The group continues to invest heavily in R&D to ensure it maintains the technology leadership required to deliver high performance COTS and custom engineered products with market leading customer support.
Senior Field Application Engineer:
The Senior field Applications Engineer is primarily an engineering role with a high degree of customer interaction. You will be defining and working with sophisticated, rugged, airborne and spaceborne instrumentation systems. You will be working directly with customers to define and implement those systems on the newest and most advanced and air and space vehicles as they certify them for flight. You will be the frontline point of contact for their engineering questions and troubleshooting. You will have the opportunity to travel to customer sites to witness these programs first hand for business development, training and technical support purposes. Your role will be to use your engineering knowledge and product knowledge to ensure that their customer programs are a success. You will be the customer representative to our engineering and business to ensure that we continue to be a success.
Location: This position will be 100% remote with requirement to travel to the facility or customer sites as needed.
The candidate can operate remotely for this role with the support of Curtiss-Wright. Proximity to one of the Aerospace Instrumentation sites would be preferable. Part of the onboarding will include a trip to our facilities in Ireland for induction and training.

Your Challenge:
  • To become an expert in the Aerospace Instrumentation product lines and applications, specializing in the products developed by the ACRA Business unit Axon and KAM-500.
  • To provide excellent pre and post sales technical support to our North American customer base. To Research solutions where necessary.
  • Work with our customer base to determine the most appropriate hardware and software configurations to fulfil their Flight-test requirements.
  • To travel to customer sites where necessary for support, training and or business development purposes.
  • To assist customers with the adoption and integration of newly developed hardware and software.
  • To represent the customer's interests in engineering design and development process.
  • Representing the company and participating in seminars, trade shows and workshops as required.
Your Expertise:
  • Must have Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Must have 5 years relevant Engineering Experience
  • Experience with ACRA-CW based hardware KAM-500, Axon and software DAS Studio, KSM-500 and CW-IADS ground station software would be desirable.
  • Experience with airborne instrumentation equipment and software suites would be desirable.
