The Senior Facilities Supervisor - Carpentry will act as a valued contributor to our passionate Facilities team, ensuring we provide our guests with an experience that will leave them excited to return!

Position Responsibilities:

  • Functions as a mentor for Level I, Level II, Level III, and Level IV Technicians and engaged in Carpentry and Upholstery repairs and fabrications.
  • Coordinates the assignments of the Level III and/or Level IV Technicians.
  • Instructs and trains team members on procedures, reviews, coaching, and corrective counseling.
  • Responsible for all time in sheets and MP2 Carpentry / Upholstery work orders.
  • Serves as a liaison for outside contractors & vendors, coordinates supply orders, schedules visits, etc.
  • Regularly engages in overseeing, scheduling, and updating all types of Carpentry jobs including cabinet–furniture fabrication, wall and ceiling construction, furniture repair and refinishing, and any other carpentry work orders received.
  • Regularly engages in overseeing, scheduling, and updating all types of Upholstery jobs including recovering gaming floor chairs, all Hotel furniture, office furniture, and any other Upholstery work orders received.
  • Regularly engages in the use of the MP2 work order tracking system and works with the Manager and Director to update the GNATT chart as needed.
  • Responsible for job tasks that have been assigned to their respective group(s).
  • Expected to assist in all areas within the Facilities Dept. when requested to do so.
  • Files daily log on reporting routine duties and work order repair requests properly.
  • Maximizes productivity by planning appropriately for work assignments and avoiding distractions.
  • Effectively prioritizes duties to maximize the workday.
  • Provides leadership of the Facilities Team in the absence of the Facilities Manager or Director of Facilities.
  • Completes all three Performance Action Plan goals for the year.

Position Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related work experience.
  • 10 years experience in physical plant operations with 5 years experience supervising personnel.
  • Strong background with hands-on knowledge of plumbing, air handling, refrigeration, minor electronics, electricity, carpentry, boilers mechanical equipment in general, welding, brazing, and soldering.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, diplomacy, and objectivity.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to strive in a multi-task environment.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Position Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 bs.
