Positions in this function direct responsibility for overall operational reliability of all of Solutran's products, especially the S3 Payments Network. This leader will own our architecture, observability, monitoring, alerting, incident management, and resiliency capabilities, through Solutran's own SRE team while partnering with Optum Tech's centralized capabilities of data and technical operations. The role requires relentless prioritization of impactful projects, making data-driven decisions, and investing in automation to drive payment network availability to 99.999%.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ensure the reliability, availability, and scalability of our payments network by continuously improving our systems and processes
• Lead and manage a team of SREs to deliver high-quality and scalable services
• Develop and implement best practices for SRE, including monitoring, incident response, disaster recovery, and capacity planning
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technical strategy and improve customer experience
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and vendors
• Drive innovation by staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends
• Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical solutions

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 10+ years of experience as an SRE, software engineer, or infrastructure engineer
• 5+ years of experience either managing teams or operating as a technical lead
• 5+ years of experience with large scale (at least 10 TPS/RPS/QPS) distributed systems experience
• Hands-on experience with at least two of infrastructure monitoring, service observability, system monitoring, incident management, or resiliency
