Job description

The position

In the position of Senior CAD Engineer you are, within the Engineering & Estimating department, responsible for 3D modeling and creating 2D construction drawings for our offshore wind projects. You will work closely with Mechanical Engineers and Project Engineers to arrive at the most optimal solutions and designs.

Your responsibilities

Creating 3D models of offshore wind turbine foundations and associated constructions and presenting these models in detailed 2D visualizations
Setting up 2D drawings with accompanying part lists.
Visualizing clashes and providing insight into construction and usage issues
Contribute to standardization, optimization and automation of the work processes
Follow-up of revision management
Pro-active communication with internal customers and stakeholders.

Job requirements

A completed technical education at MBO or HBO level, preferably mechanical engineering
Experience as a technical draughtsman in the field of steel (offshore) constructions
Extensive experience with Autocad and Autodesk Inventor and Vault
Experience with automation (i-logic, i.e. Visual Basic) is a pre.
Good knowledge of the English language in word and writing
Affinity with the offshore wind industry
A driven and accurate colleague with good communication and social skills
