Shimano Benelux Fishing is looking for a Sales and Marketing Team Manager. This role is quite challenging with a great learning experience. Where you will be responsible for Managing, motivating, and developing your team, to enable them to realise the team and individual goals (targets) set, at present and in the future. Contributing to formulation of the annual sales and marketing plan of SBXF, with the Regional Sales & Marketing Manager, to focus activities of the department considering targets set, history, forecasts, and planned actions. You will be responsible for building relations with key players and key suppliers in the market, to be up to date with market developments and improve cooperation and results. You should have good analytical skills to obtain a clear picture of the market and the developments within the market that give rise to new opportunities and trends. The Challenge
- Manage and drive sales team targets.
- Motivate and inspire your team to achieve and exceed sales performance.
- Analyze, accurately report & forecast sales performance of your team.
- Proactive management of leads to maximize sales conversions.
- Using insight from the field and collected data, drive best practice ways of working and continuous improvement in team operations.
- Manage, train & develop your team instilling a passion for performance and achievement.
- Attend appointments and joined visits with the sales team to always ensure first class service and delivery.
- Complete regular reviews and assessment of team skills and techniques giving formal feedback and build action plans to support required improvements.
- Create a team culture of continuous improvement and flexibility of approach to achieve results.
- Interact effectively and professionally with internal colleagues and departments.
- Support HR for recruitment of new staff and assure this is in line with business demands.
- Deliver effective team briefings and organize & host monthly sales and marketing team meetings.
- Improve skills through pro-active self-development.
- Manage marketing team.
- Evaluate the performance of Marketing activities against targets set, taking action where necessary to ensure success.
What are we looking for?
- You should have an overall experience of 8-10 years in similar field, with at least 3-5 years of previous experience of managing a team.
- Affinity and knowledge of the fishing sector and its products.
- You should have experience in Classical Marketing. Operational marketing experience is required.
- You should have broad business knowledge & Excellent leadership skills.
- High level of PC skills, including all Microsoft Office programs.
- Excellent organizational and planning ability.
- You should be self-motivated with excellent organizational and planning ability
- Strong analytical ability.
- Excellent communication skills both internally and externally with the ability to influence at all levels.
- You should be proactive, and enthusiastic approach to work.
- Languages: good knowledge of Dutch and English both in written and spoken word. French is a plus.
