Description:
We are Lockheed Martin
This position will act as the Range Engineer for the Helendale Measurement Facility, which requires a dynamic individual who is capable of multitasking and working without supervision. Responsibilities will include the operation and maintenance of three target test
locations (pits), and requires knowledge in model and/or aircraft handling, transport, mounting, and flip systems. Will oversee the maintenance and repair of the target pits,
pylons, hoist systems, model rotators, and control systems. The successful candidate will have the ability to troubleshoot complex computer, electrical, electronic control, and hydraulic systems. Must be able to read blueprints, and electrical schematics. Will coordinate
model movement and storage. Will oversee chemical recording procedures and hazardous waste disposal, equipment certifications, inspections and training, and assist with administration of the building manager program for the facility. Will assist in hosting internal
and external audits and inspections, and coordinating facility maintenance. May also serve as a backup radar operator to support data collection activities. Must be willing to work any shift and odd or extended hours in support of the test schedule. The ability to perform when
working under light discipline conditions and from elevated platforms at heights up to 100 feet is required. Must have the ability to be certified on forklifts, elevated platforms, tugs, and bridge and knuckle cranes is required. The candidate must possess good written and
verbal communication skills. A combination of education and experience may be considered equivalent to the degree requirement. A case-by-case evaluation will occur. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. An active Top Secret security clearance with a current background investigation is required for this position.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per weekPay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $94,500 - $178,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
