We are looking for a Quant Analyst to join the Research Team. The Research Team proposes and executes innovative scientific solutions and trading strategies to keep our traders ahead of competition. All the team members share passion for energy trading and strong analytical background. However, everyone within the team has own area of expertise.

Your Responsibilities:

As a Quant Analyst you are expected to have a versatile set of skills, but you would serve as an expert in machine learning and would be the designated person to cover related areas of projects. All projects are executed in collaboration with experts in other fields, such as data science, mathematical optimisation, statistics, econometrics, probability. In this role, you would have the following responsibilities:

• Collaborating with other team members on projects and assignments:
  • Designing and executing research related to your areas of expertise
  • Presenting and explaining your results to the stakeholders
  • Documenting your research
• Acting as an expert in the field of machine learning:
  • When presented with a problem, explaining how you your area of expertise could help solve the problem
  • Explaining your proposals to other team members and stakeholders in a clear, understandable way
  • Proactively searching for opportunities where you could apply your knowledge to significantly improve the overall performance of the company
• Expanding your knowledge of the power systems:
  • Initiating conversations with in-house experts
  • Screening news, scientific papers, and relevant websites to stay up to date about the recent developments
  • Participating in learning events, such as lectures, conferences, courses

Experience and Qualifications:

• Degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Computer Science or similar
• About 2 years or relevant working experience
• Sufficient programming skills
• Strong background in mathematics and versatile set of practical skills, with working understanding of topics such as mathematical optimisation, machine learning, statistics
• Good communication skills
• Pragmatism
• Interest in energy sector
