Job description
This position is funded by a temporary one-year contract with a possibility for continuation after the project period. The ideal candidate will take part in a variety of activities related to NCHAM’s work.
The supervising NCHAM member is Alyson Ward (alyson.ward@usu.edu)
- Lead the development and submission of continuing education credits for NCHAM’s educational opportunities, which include webinars, learning modules, and conferences.
- Coordinator of NCHAM/NTRC webinars including selection of optional topics/presenters to be reviewed by NCHAM staff, invitation to presenters, coordination of scheduling, publicity, registration and accessibility set-up.
- Social Media Manager for NCHAM/EHDI sites on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and RSS feeds, including research for potential posts, posting, work with webmaster for reporting and analytics.
- Arrange accessibility options for educational opportunities including sign language interpreting and captioning.
Manage group meetings including set up, notetaking, and follow-up. - Assist in project management such as data collection and analysis.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Some travel may be required
- Bachelor’s degree required in Education, Psychology, Health Sciences, or a related field by the date of hire.
- Prior experience in public health or education.
- Proficiency in Microsoft products, particularly Word and Excel.
- Experience planning large group gatherings such as conferences.
- Experience in publishing in peer reviewed journals
- Experience using graphic design software (e.g., InDesign, Illustrator).
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
- Exemplary problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work without direct supervision and as a team member.
- Ability to organize complex processes.
