This position provides leadership to create an effective training environment, develop material, provide support, and develop a skill-based training program for production workers. The intent is to close the gap between job performance and the skills and knowledge needed to perform the job at required levels, for new employees and bid award employees working in a new position and monitoring and initiating any retraining. This position is a visible and active source of influence to improve knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors resulting in higher levels of productivity and profitability for the company.
Responsibilities
- Understand, on a mastery level, our equipment, processes and procedures.
- Use organization Learning Management System to monitor, track training and establish follow-up required.
- Assimilate new employees into the department and all aspects of their job. Train on safety and job expectations. Will need to know most jobs in assigned department.
- Conduct all e-learning and hands-on training in the department and ensure employees are effectively trained to keep all employees safe.
- Conduct required communication meetings, direct and advises employees on their job requirements.
- Give direction to employees for improvement and monitors all employees for performance and safety regulations.
- Accurately document required training of employees in the LMS platform.
- Any additional duties assigned by Learning and Development Manager.
- High School Diploma.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University or College with an emphasis in Communication, Education, Business or related field of study preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in a food service or food manufacturing facility preferred.
- 3-6 years of experience in a training capacity preferred.
- Knowledge of and training in food safety in a RTE Facility.
- Training in and experience applying knowledge in different learning styles.
- Assessing comprehension of learners.
- Ability to adapting material and/or style to the employees individual learning style.
- Successfully giving feedback with positive results.
- Familiarity with LEAN.
