Position Overview

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for completing the administration and processing of biweekly payroll for five companies in Idaho, Colorado, and Wyoming. This position also assists employees with payroll-related questions. Must be able to work quickly yet efficiently ensuring a high standard of accuracy. Responsibilities include research and technical assistance, special projects, and problem resolutions.

Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for processing multiple company biweekly payrolls for 1,000+ employees, quarterly and other bonus payments, and weekly miscellaneous payrolls.
  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
  • Reconcile payroll reporting from ADP to the general ledger accounts to ensure pay and benefit-related costs are recorded accurately.
  • Understand proper taxation of employer-paid benefits.
  • Execute time and attendance processing within ADP (eTime) and interface with payroll.
  • Process and request all garnishment payments. Balance garnishment accounts after bi-weekly payroll run to ensure all garnishments are submitted timely.
  • Process unemployment claims as needed.
  • Reconcile vendor invoices to payments made and provide appropriate coding and explanations to Accounts Payable.
  • Manage other administrative tasks related to human resources.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two to three years of experience processing payroll.
  • Knowledge of garnishment and unemployment processing.
  • Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now and eTime a plus.

Hours: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
