LOCATION: Green Bay

STANDARD HOURS: 24 hours a week on average and a variety of mostly afternoon/evening hours. Mondays through Thursdays exact scheduled to be determined based on recreational sports schedule.

Pay Range: $16.36-$19.25 per hour

  • Salaries/Wages for all finalists (internal and external) will be based upon education, experiences, current wages, and internal equity.

POSITION SUMMARY

As a member of the Student Involvement team, this position will work with various populations, internal and external to the college, to engage students in college experience activities that enhance the development of students with activities to provide a holistic college experience that engages a diverse student body.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Develop a strategy to implement a variety of activities that align with the overall mission and vision of NWTC to support increased enrollment and student persistence, to include recreational sports, holistic wellness activities, student trips, etc.
  • Coordinate logistics associated with sports and wellness activities, to include contracts, venues, equipment, transportation, student safety, and all other related needs.
  • Track budgetary needs for sports and wellness expenditures to manager.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners, including all NWTC Campuses, Regional Learning Centers, and Campus Care, while planning and implementing sports, wellness, and trips.
  • Collect and assess student participation data and continuously evaluate the impact of sports, wellness, trips.
  • Recommend, implement, and enforce policies and procedures related to these activities, including participant eligibility and student code of conduct.
  • Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team including assisting team members in International Programs and Study Abroad, as well as customers in the Student Involvement office as needed.
  • Develop and maintain marketing strategies to generate excitement, interest, and continued engagement in sports and wellness activities, to include social media, photography, video, etc.
  • Lead and empower student employees in developing new programs/activities for the fitness center
  • Maintain exceptional overall quality of the fitness center, including cleanliness, sanitizing, ensuring proper working equipment from weights and machines to balls and sport apparel.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, monitor, lead, and work collaboratively with a small group of fitness center work-study employees to ensure coverage, customer service, maintenance, and oversight of the fitness center.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Minimum of Associate Degree in Health and Wellness, Event Management, or related field.

Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years strong customer service-related experience.

**An equivalent combination of work experience and education may be considered.

Computer Skills

Skills, experience, and strong knowledge of MS Office suite, internet browsers, and college- and student-related software (e.g. PeopleSoft, Virtuagym), and standard office equipment (multi-line telephone, copier, printer, computer systems, etc.

Some experience in graphic design and marketing preferred.
