A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ORIENTATION FACILITATOR
nAs an Orientation Facilitator in human services, you're responsible for greeting, welcoming, and orienting new and re-referred participants to the program. Each day, you provide sector-based orientation and intake services to new participants, ensuring proper accommodations and flexibility for everyone. You manage a classroom of participants while maintaining a courteous and approachable demeanor as well as document classroom activity in our internal and external systems. When teaching daily instructional orientation sessions, you make sure to follow approved policies and procedures.
nIn addition, you provide information to all participants regarding our services, including employment services, vocational training, and educational services. You maintain a clear pipeline between our orientation participants and career coaches for easier access. When needed, you accurately provide eligible participants with metro cards and are quick to tackle any other tasks that come your way. QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ORIENTATION FACILITATOR

- High school diploma or equivalent n
- 1+ years of experience in workshop or classroom facilitation n
- Experience working with public assistance recipients, those formerly incarcerated, and the economically disadvantaged n
- Demonstrated experience or knowledge of at least one employment sector cluster, including maintenance, security, food service, customer service, health care, social assistance, technology, construction, industrial, manufacturing, transportation, or warehousing n
- Covid-19 vaccination n
