The Nursing Assistant in Training is a starting position for applicants interested in becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant.

The nursing assistant in training will be enrolled in a certified nursing assistant class and scheduled to test out with the state to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. All applicants are required to attend the class and pass the state test with in a 4 month period. Classes will be held on a regular basis and attendance for scheduled class time and lab days is mandatory.

Upon hire, NAiT's will be given education to get them started in the role of nursing assistant. Upon successful completion of the Certified Nursing Exam, the employee becomes a registered nursing assistant at Aicota and will receive a wage increase.

Responsibilities of a registered nursing assistant:

• Assist residents with all ADL's - including dressing, bathing, and eating, oral cares, & dressing
• Providing assistance with transfers (getting in and out of bed, wheelchair, recliner etc.) and ambulation (walking/wheeling) throughout the building
• Offering comfort and companionship to residents and their family/loved ones

As the NAiT's complete labs and class and test out on skills, they will be signed off on their skills and have the ability to put those skills to use on the floor, practicing for the exam.

NAiT positions are available on pms and noc shifts, for full or part time work.
