Position Summary

DISYS Solutions, Inc. (DSI) is seeking a Network Technician for our expanding company. This position is a contract role based in Austin, TX for a maximum of 5 - 6 months.

Position Responsibilities

• Will install equipment for data communications networks including: hardware, software, and data communications equipment
• Trouble-shooting equipment for data communications networks including: computer hardware, software, and data communications equipment
• Will assist in and will perform direct troubleshooting of computer hardware and networks
• Will assist the network administrator in the form of requirements analysis, network application design, implementation, problem investigation and resolution, and network application evaluation
• Physically take down old routers, switches and wireless access points and install new
• Assist Senior Engineers with daily duties
• Must have the ability to lift 50 – 60 pounds on a consistent and daily basis
• Assembles and compiles basic data for reports or presentations, as scheduled or requested
• Informs supervisor of problems or escalations of customer’s technical implementation

Qualifications / Skills / Knowledge

• solid experience in networking concepts and networking equipment including hubs, routers, switches and cabling infrastructure
• Firewalls including SonicWall, Cisco ASA, Firepower and Palo Alto
• CCENT or CCNA preferred
• High School diploma or GED required
• Ability to be flexible, versatile and adaptable in day-to-day activities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
