Molder / Molding Department – Pageland, SC (Bypass)

Summary: The Molder position is responsible for the set-up and operation of the molding machines. Responsible for maintaining production standards. Keep machine and department clean. Must follow all of the plant safety rules and wear all of the required safety equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must understand and be able to operate molding machines

• Must be able to setup molding machines

• Must understand and be able to maintain production standards

• Must keep work area and department clean

• Follow plant rules and wear required safety equipment

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Understands Safety Check Points

• Understands Quality Policy

• Understands Work Instructions

• Understands Data Collection System

• Understands established Tagging Procedure

• Must be able to properly seat cores in the mold.

• Must be able to blow mold out before and after setting cores.

• Must understand and be able to identify quality issues.

• Must understand and be able to make minor repairs and adjustments as needed.

Desired Skills:

• Communicate effectively with co-worker and supervisors in a professional manner

• Must have excellent attendance

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time

• Continuous use of hands/arms

• Ability to push and pull frequently

• Frequent bending at the waist

• Occasional lifting of up to 60 lbs.
