California Psychological Institute is a Organizational Provider for Fresno County working with children and families under a contract with Child Welfare. We work with children and adults from birth to 100 and provide various services at one location. We are seeking committed, organized individuals to support this contract and teh familes we serve.

Our nation's health care system is rapidly changing, yet a skilled Medical Biller is still needed in this competitive field. The ideal Medical Biller will be comfortable with the tools of the trade and able to provide training to co-workers and colleagues. He or she will be extremely detail-oriented, with excellent listening skills. The successful candidate will also have the ability to communicate effectively in person, as well as via email and various other computer programs.

Responsibilities:

• Experience with behavioral health CPT coding
• Perform administrative functions such as copying, faxing, and answering phones.
• Entries to the insurance carrier and other payers.
• Process incoming bills from providers or other third parties.
• Perform daily reconciliations of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and insurance claims reports.
• Generate insurance claim payment checks for review and signature by practice management.
• Communicate with other medical staff regarding insurance billing issues.
• Track patient eligibility for specific procedures with the insurance company.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
