WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
This role is focused on maximizing the reach, relevance, retention and LTV of marketing efforts across digital and physical, paid and owned marketing channels.
This includes analytics & testing to optimize communications, inform creative and format direction, track Digital>Physical impacts, and drill-down into epic growth drivers & editorial executions.
You will spearhead partnerships to deliver a holistic view of Nike Marketing optimization opportunities. You will collaborate with global marketing science teams to champion EMEA deepdives and global analytics syntheses that support local learning and optimization.
We are looking for Analytics expert with the ability to collate actionable insights from across multiple marketing channels to provide recommendations centered on the consumer experience.
You have experience in effectively managing senior stakeholders as well as being able to identify and agree priorities based on impact.
As a world leading brand there isn’t always a rule book to follow and therefore this role must be comfortable managing ambiguity and embracing fast failure as we progress. Conversely, you must also be able to apply greater structure and analytics best practice wherever possible. Above all, driven by experience and the data, you will be the voice of the consumer for our marketing teams ensuring that our experiences our centered on their existing and future needs/wants.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
If this is you, you’ll be working with the marketing science team to analyze and optimize our Nike marketing activities.
A typical day/week will involve:
- Measure athlete / member responsiveness to key marketing activations across activity apps, critical retail moments, social and email, on and off platform.
- Synthesize this data into actionable insights that inform Marketing strategy and future activations, and ultimately drive consumer engagement, retention and Nike growth.
- Drive deeper data, marketing analytics and consumer knowledge across technical and less technical audiences in Marketing and Nike leadership more generally.
- Identify and drive insights and testing learning agenda for marketing stakeholders, by understanding current and anticipating future consumer and business needs and governing the corresponding workload priorities to drive results for the enterprise.
- Communicate insights generated with cohesive, understandable and appropriate messages, summaries, reports & presentations
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH
You will report to the Senior Director of Marketing Science and you will manage and grow six direct reports across paid marketing, stores marketing and owned marketing insights alongside a number of temporary resources at any given time. You will work in close partnership with your peer, the Director of Marketing Science (Marketing Measurement and Strategic Planning) to drive the development of new frameworks within our marketing executions and analyses. You will engage with all members of the Marketing Leadership Team with a keen focus on the Integrated Media (Paid Marketing) and Consumer Direct Marketing (Owned Marketing) teams, particularly with regard to marketing performance and optimization.
Due to the importance of embedding membership within our marketing and business strategies you will partner with key teammates from the member growth teams as well key trading and finance partners.
WHAT YOU BRING
- At least 8 years of experience leading/executing quantitative analysis on digital experiences and communication channels
- Extensive knowledge of best practices & current trends in digital marketing communication and CRM strategy for retail, digital commerce, or mobile apps. Essential for owned channels and welcomed for paid/earned.
- An understanding of advanced analytics techniques; competency with statistical packages such as SQL, R, MATLAB, SPSS, SAS, Stata etc.
- Demonstrable experience of using analytics to understand digital consumer behavior and identify opportunities to accelerate growth
- Adept at creative storytelling using data driven insights, and ability to bring complex consumer data to life for marketing and business stakeholders
- Self-starter with proven experience building positive working relationships and working successfully in cross-functional teams with varied levels of understanding of analytics.
