At IDEXX as a Marketing Data Analyst, you will be r esponsible for the data analyses and for bringing insights for products, services and programs performance. You will participate in the planning, development, implementation and analysis of data and research to support strategy, positioning, customer loyalty, new product development and other analytics and market research needs. Provide, prepare and present summary findings and recommendations to forecast future trends, identify market potential and develop marketing strategiesWhat you will do:
Assist, support, manage, and/or lead data analyses and related market research initiatives, studies and projects
Collaborate with product managers and the commercial team to develop and support primary research initiatives. May proactively solicit LOB teams to understand their customer and marketplace need for insights and develop a detailed implementation plan for sequentially building upon and refreshing existing insights while developing incremental marketplace knowledge
Participate on and/or lead marketing research projects and teams. May include project planning, scheduling and obtaining resources to ensure that objectives are met. May include executing tactical research programs/projects through cross-functional leadership
Collaborate with 3rd party vendors to complete market research studies and date analysis
Continuously strengthen individual capabilities and stay current with best analysis and marketing research practices
Develop understanding of LOB marketing plans, key business imperatives and objectives, and product and market knowledge
May provide guidance, mentor, train and coach others
May directly manage staff, assign work, monitor activities, evaluate performance and manage escalated/critical issues. Administer employment actions, provide coaching and guidance to staff and promote staff training and development. May support the development of department budget, policies and procedures
Conduct related qualitative and quantitative market research analysis and studies. These may include project planning, scheduling and obtaining resources to ensure that objectives are met. Also, may include executing tactical research programs/projects through cross-functional leadership.
Provide, prepare and present summaries and recommendations as appropriate.
What you will need:
Solid knowledge and familiarity with data analytics, marketing research operations and techniques
Statistics methodology and sampling background with understanding of scientific research principles
Strong survey research experience – designing and analyzing surveys
Proficiency with Alteryx
Knowledge of statistical software
Experience in writing questionnaires and surveys
Ability to develop customer insights from marketing research results and facilitate customer insight generation
Works independently; receives minimal guidance
Typically 5-7+ years related experience
Proficiency with MS Office and advanced internet skills
Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
Strong project management skills; ability to plan, manage and complete projects
Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation skills
Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and as part of a team.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Master’s degree or equivalent preferred.
