GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY :

Assist and support the Marketing & PR department with projects, events, and promotions that increase attendance and grow revenue and awareness for the Space Needle & Chihuly Garden and Glass across the department’s areas of focus (digital marketing, social media, food and beverage, campaigns, special events, and public relations).

This position supports the Space Needle & Chihuly Garden and Glass organization by exhibiting the following behaviors: integrity, professionalism, leadership, humility, respect, accountability, and team building.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS :

• Assist with development and coordination of marketing events (i.e. Base 2 Space, Spring Bloom, Gather, Holidays, NYE)
• Coordinate and implement marketing programs
• Responsible for web updates and event listings
• Manage the Chihuly Garden and Glass membership program
• Assist with online travel agency partnerships, email marketing, social media content, clerical needs, and analytics reporting
• Track and update all business listings, respond to customer questions, and , monitor reviews
• Manage local concierge communications including, updating concierge webpage, responding to concierge inquiries, and hosting an annual concierge event
• Responsible for Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass donations
• Show initiative by seeking out new marketing opportunities and finding ways to grow current programs
• Write effectively and develop messaging that works across multiple communication channels – website, social, media, print, etc
• Assist Marketing and Public Relations with media visits and implementing overall communications efforts via press, media, community relations, special events, print, electronic and social media, etc
• Interface with Guests online and on site, delivering top-notch guest service
• Research current trends in tourism to spark ideas for promotions, partnership, events, and social media. Assist with report monthly dashboard.
• Other duties as assigned

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS :

• Support all Marketing efforts
• Represent the Space Needle & Chihuly Garden and Glass as an active participant in the Seattle travel, art, and community networks

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED :

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Experience in marketing/advertising/hospitality/tourism preferred
• Technology savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience in graphic design a plus
• Experience with online media (specifically social media)Strong verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Professional, courteous, and polite manner
• Able to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends when requested (NYE is required)
• Self-motivated, creative and team oriented
• Conscientious in quality and guest service
• Able to lift and carry 35 pounds
• Able to stand for multiple hours at events

Full Time, Hourly Position

Pay Range: $23.00 - $29.80 / hour, Depending on Experience
