Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer 5

Location: Peoria, IL

Duration: Full Time

Client: Caterpillar

Job Details

• Establish process maps for manufacturing processes related to long-term strategic projects
• Document current state process documentation (SFMEAs, PFMEAs, Control Plans, etc.)
• Establish new facility layouts and communicate requirements with machine integrators and tool builders.

Technical Skills

(Required)

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering related field
• Manufacturing engineering experience
• Experience creating facility/plant layouts
• Experience identifying capital asset requirements
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications and translate those to manufacturing requirements
• Experience with computer applications to general facility/plant layouts (such as AutoCad)

(Desired)

• Experience with forgings, castings, heat treatment, and welding

Soft Skills

(Required)

• Ability to manage several project details at once
• Critical thinker that leverages innovative ideas
• Team player, ability to work across functional teams in supply chain, engineering, and business resources
• Effective communicator to translate VOC/VOB into clear requirements.
