What Will You Be Doing?

The Manager, Network Planning is responsible for leading the development of route/flight forecast models, acting as a liaison with Finance on budget/stats generation processes and for leading economic analyses on P&L for the network. Working with Network Planning and Scheduling, this Manager will develop, generate, and communicate robust and actionable analysis on Frontier's network that will directly contribute to commercial decisions and revenue production.

Essential Functions

  • Execute, and deliver analyses that will support Network Planning in designing a profitable network while maximizing operational reliability and sustainability
  • Leverage predictive analytics to model, analyze and generate P&L projections in conjunction with the Network and PRM teams that will ensure profitable growth
  • Develop efficiencies for forecasting traffic and profit in tandem with all commercial teams
  • Work with/lead a team of highly skilled analytics specialists that drive executive decisions that ensure an industry leading network optimization and design
  • Work in conjunction with Finance, PRM, Network Planning and Scheduling teams to develop network forecasts, budget stats, fleet optimization and profitability analyses
  • Drive improved commercial performance through advanced analytics, including regression analysis, QSI modeling, what-if scenario evaluations and demand forecast.

Other Functions

  • Work primarily in Python, SQL, Excel, VBA and/or related environments
  • Provide expertise in using state-of-the-art coding/software/tools to analyze, automate and provide decision support across Planning, Scheduling and Operational Design
  • Develop forecasts that can be used to create a robust and profitable route network
  • Own P&L forecast and budget processes
  • Support ad hoc analysis requests from all commercial department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, quantitative, science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required; Master’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years relevant experience with exposure to commercial or operational functions required
  • Prior airline and route planning experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Very strong technical skills, comfort working with large data sets to produce concise analysis, programming language competence required (SQL, Python, R, etc.)
  • Advanced Excel, Python, Power BI and database skills
  • Programming experience with large data sets required
  • Comfort presenting complex ideas to senior management, and recommending high impact solutions to highly leveraged problems

General Direction: The incumbent normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work and receives general instructions on new assignments.

$92,880.00 - $116,100.00
