Nemak is a leading provider of innovative lightweighting solutions for the global automotive industry, specializing in the development and manufacturing of aluminum components for e-mobility, structure & chassis, and ICE powertrain applications.
We are currently hiring Maintenance Technicians at the Dickson, TN location.
Shifts are as follows:
- 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
- 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities/Daily Duties:
1. Follow lock out and tag, and always keep safety a primary concern.
2. Works administratively for the area maintenance supervisor.
3. Tool pouch and hard hat on person at all times, unless you are physically working on breakdown or retrieving parts.
4. Adjust, tighten, and repair items as possible around production breaks, lunch, and work stoppages.
5. Monitor your area for problems. Be proactive in preparing for and conducting repairs.
6. Will work on each of the primary maintenance shifts.
7. Relay suggestions for improvement to your area supervisor and shift engineers.
8. Rebuild parts, pre-stage repetitive usage items in your maintenance area.
9. Maintain small repetitive usage tools and rigging in your maintenance area.
10. Be proactive in repair of pneumatic and hydraulic leaks.
11. Be proactive in repair of safety impacting items.
12. Route emergency work order data and planned work order data back to area maintenance supervisor/shift lead technician
13. Conduct informal shift changeover in your maintenance area; relieve on machine as needed.
14. Relay the need for planned work orders to your maintenance supervisor/shift lead technician
15. Aggressively participate in TPM exercises, working closely with and supporting production.
Preferred Knowledge and Abilities:
1. Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic schematics and ladder diagrams.
2. Ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems.
3. Thorough knowledge of electrical control of machinery, ability to interpret logic and program programmable controllers.
4. Ability to work overtime on short notice, including weekends.
5. Two (2) year Technical Associates Degree.
6. Automotive background preferred.
7. Two to five (2-5) years maintenance experience.
8. Power distribution and hard wire controls knowledge and experience.
Requirements/Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or GED.
2. Technical college diploma/certificate.
3. Must pass a basic math test and a basic metric system test.

Pay: $19.59 - $36.74 per hour
