Maintenance Mechanic

Allentown, PA

$27 - $38 p/h (DOE)

2nd or 3rd Shift

2nd shift hours: 2:45 pm – 10:45 pm – Mon to Fri

3rd shift hours: 10:45 pm – 6:45 am – Sun to Thurs

(Overtime Saturday + Sunday 2x a month)

Your new role would be working for an up and coming pharmaceutical manufacture specialising in trails from stage 1 all through to commercial launch. The role is responsible for the bottling site and working with precise equipment and state of the art sensors. If you’re looking for a hands-on maintenance position, then this is the perfect role for you.

Primary responsibilities:

· Sets up various automated packaging equipment systems including removal of

previous tooling, removal and replacement of covers and guarding for access of

cleaning crew.

· Operations support for production of pharmaceutical packaging lines.

· Removes/repairs or replaces defective parts.

· Logs data into process check sheets.

· Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair machine breakdowns in conjunction with

maintenance and engineering personnel.

· Performs electromechanical troubleshooting including fuse testing, motor and relay

replacement, and robotic component handling systems, PLC controllers, sensors, setup and adjustment of online printing, barcode scanning, and OCR/OCV vision equipment.

· Performs all Preventative, On Demand Maintenance and calibration activities, oversees OEM support and calibration specialist personnel, and appropriately documents all activities per Sharps procedures.

What the ideal candidate looks like:

· Technical School certifications or Associates degree in a technical field

· 4+ years experience in automated packaging, industrial maintenance or advanced electro mechanical trade.

· A strong desire to learn new systems and expand individual knowledgebase

· Must be able to work overtime are required.

· cGMP experience along with experience in life science industry (medical device, pharma, biotech)
