Strong foundational assessment skills are a must. We provide the opportunity to create unique offerings (e.g., groups, workshops). There is also the opportunity to be trained in DBT, as we have a comprehensive DBT program for complex teens and families.
The fellowship emphasizes the developmental and family contexts of child psychopathology and the use of empirically validated interventions. Over the course of the one year training experience, the curriculum is graduated and progressive such that fellows advance from exposure to the development of expertise to prepare them for independent practice. It is focused on strengthening assessment and diagnostic skills. Supervision and training also seek to support the fellow in gaining a clear professional identity and confidence as a psychologist.
Dr. Pasqua has been in private practice for 11 years and has nearly 20 years of experience in child, family, and pediatric assessment and treatment in outpatient and hospital settings. She also has extensive post-doctoral training in early childhood mental health and autism spectrum disorders.
