Job description

1. POSITION SUMMARY
The Heidelberg operator will setup and operate the Heidelberg printing press following Operating Procedures (SOPs) to provide product that is within established guidelines regarding feet per run hour, waste standards and quality values. This position also performs manual and machine operator tasks related to the set-up, maintenance and operations of the press. Responsible for the quantitative and qualitative press performance.

2. REQUIREMENTS
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
English proficient (speak, write and read)
Experience running, troubleshooting and quality control
Ability to understand written instructions and set-up the press and carry out instructions
Safety conscious
Able to troubleshoot problems.
Strong mechanical aptitude skills
Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision
Continual improvement mindset
Equipment calibration knowledge
Interpretation of customer specifications and order requirements
Detail oriented and organized
Daily interaction with all employees
Basic math skills
Excellent color perception.
